Dr. Glen J. McIntosh
Glen was born and raised in Brisbane, Australia. After graduating from the University of Queensland veterinary school in 1995. Glen worked in a country practice in South Australia for 1 year. He then moved to the UK where he worked as a vet for the next 13 years. It was in the UK that Glen became interested in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care and he spent his last 4 years in the UK working as an emergency vet and managing a busy emergency clinic in Colchester.
Glen moved to Townsville, Australia in 2010 and worked at James Cook University as an emergency clinician at the university's referral and teaching hospital and contributed to the training of veterinary students in the field of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. In 2011 Glen accepted an exciting opportunity to work in Hong Kong at PAVC.
Glen is very experienced in the field of Veterinary Emergency and Critical care and has achieved further qualifications in this field in the form of Membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists, by examination. He regularly attends international conferences in veterinary emergency and critical care in order to continue to improve the service that he provides.
Glen finds the field of emergency and critical care one of the most rewarding in veterinary medicine since it gives him the opportunity to make a difference to lives of pets and their owners when it is most needed. Glen enjoys working at PAVC and having the support of its team of world class veterinary specialists and other highly skilled veterinarians.
