Dr. Cheryl H.C. Chan
Cheryl grew up in Hong Kong and has wanted to be a veterinarian ever since her family and friends could remember. In 2014, she graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh, UK. Keen to see the world, she travelled to gain work experience in Thailand, South Africa, China and the USA, ranging from a basic animal shelter to one of the busiest referral hospitals in New York City.
With strong interests in both ECC (emergency and critical care) and surgery, she went to Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital, USA, as an exchange student to receive further training, and visited the ECC service at the Royal Veterinary College, London. She hopes to pursue a career in these areas in the future. She also passed the NAVLE (North America Veterinary Licensing Exam) in 2013.
Cheryl is very excited to join the team at PAVC in September. She is an avid fan of yoga, scuba diving, and many more. Sometimes, she can also be found in orchestras, on hiking trails, or (struggling) on surfboards.
