Dr. Anthony Hollis
Anthony comes from a long family history of veterinarians. He was first introduced to the veterinary profession by his father who has been a vet in Adelaide, Australia for the past 35 years. Also his wife and brother-in-law are vets.
He graduated from the University of Queensland in 1994. His first seven years were in mixed practice in Northern Victoria, Australia, working mainly on dairy cows. After delivering many calves in the middle of the night, he needed a break from this unpredictable lifestyle. This prompted six months of backpacking in South America before heading to the Middle East where he worked as a vet and met his wife. They worked together in a small animal clinic in Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates for two years. While working there, a housecall sometimes included a visit to a royal arabian palace to examine anything from a tiger to a camel. In 2003, they came to Hong Kong and he began his career in emergency medicine. He has a keen interest in emergency medicine and critical care. The satisfaction of saving the life of a critically ill animal and seeing the relief of the clients is a great reward.
Dr. Hollis lives in the New territories with his family of two young boys, a dog and a cat. He enjoys music and has a keen interest in all types of sporting activity.
